The drinks menu also offers an array of mouth-watering wine options that would make the perfect accompaniment to any dinner dish choice. And if you’re in search to satisfy those after-dinner cravings be sure to try an option from the signature affogato range, each option comes deconstructed on a black slate dress plate – a beautiful mess.

So who is Casey Jones you ask? The pub name originates from the 19th century ‘Brave Engineer’ railroad driver Jonathan “Casey” Jones, who was hailed for his heroism trying to stop his passenger train from colliding with a freight train in Mississippi and inspired the gastropub’s owners, Josh and Shell Leemhuis to create a new and boldly-designed gastropub.

The rustic feel of the space offers railway-track inspired balustrades and the owners have created an updated design to traditional pub layouts, with the use of exposed brick walls, old luggage cases and a touch of greenery to add colour and personality to the space. This venue takes a modern twist on conventional pub spots with the inclusion of table service, in hopes of offering the same fine dining experience us locals love.

A place of pride for the Casey locals, Casey Jones is the ultimate meeting spot where residents of the capital can come to venture away from the dining and nightlife norms.
