The Drawing Room is the newest addition to Crace, creating even more of a sense of community by becoming the go-to place for any type of dining experience from breakfast, lunch and dinner to brunch and afternoon tapas with wine.

The entire menu is impressive with a wide range of dishes to choose from. Starting with breakfast, they’ve got sweet and savoury as well as super healthy, and all with the option to have vegan, gluten free or dairy free. Our favourite part – breakfast is available until 2:30pm on weekends.

We had to try the Super Food Oats, which are an innovative addition from Chef. With green tea-infused oats with rehydrated goji berries, toasted almonds, fresh apple, coconut sugar and a dollop of blueberry yoghurt on top – they really were oats like you’ve never had oats before.

The Two Cheese Omelette of roasted pumpkin, asparagus, fetta, grana padana, semi dried tomato on soy and linseed toast stood out as well as the Blini – potato and shallot fritter with wilted spinach, tomato chutney, bacon and poached egg drizzled with lemon infused olive oil. A fresh approach to the usual breakfast menu suspects means we’ll have to come back, at least every Saturday morning to try them all.

Lunch is a mixture of delicious burgers with fries, salads and a few favourites from different cuisines – gnocchi and pad thai both make an appearance. We ordered the Beef Burger as it came with the house-made bacon & onion jam (which we had to try!) It gave the wagyu beef, lettuce, tomato and aioli combination an original flavour. Next the combination Pad Thai with chicken, prawns, fried egg, fresh chilli, coriander, bean shoots, peanuts, tofu and rice noodles was a hit. A great choice for both lunch or dinner.

Chicken and Bacon Quesadillas ticks off a little bit of Mexican cuisine and sure was a hit. Found on the Tapas/Starter menu the Tandoori marinated chicken with bacon, mushrooms, mozzarella cheese and BBQ sauce all toasted in mini tortilla pockets is a hard one to look past. Once you try the combination of flavours, you’ll probably be ordering another serve.

Saving the best for last, the crispy skinned Salmon was absolutely mouth-wateringly delicious. Served with roasted kipfler potatoes, semi-dried tomato pesto, house-made sautéed kale, a sprinkle of toasted almonds and drizzle of basil oil.

And for the second stomach reserved for dessert (if you can fit it in!). There is a whole display of cakes, cookies and pasties to choose from, however the Banana Doughnuts served with peanut butter and chocolate ganache and the Toblerone Cheesecake with golden syrup biscuit crumbs, fresh strawberries, baby mint and candied lemon zest looked like the ultimate picks.

The Drawing Room is open from 7:00am for breakfast and lunch on Monday and Tuesday and from 7:00am until late from Wednesday to Sunday. Welcoming the mid-week parents group, the lunchtime or early afternoon meeting, the after-work catch-ups with a bite to eat and a drink. Whether for a group, family or intimate dinner setting (and even a late-night dessert outing), we guarantee The Drawing Room will quickly become a favourite and familiar place for you too.
