Hot designers. Hot models. What more does the fashion world crave (other than sizzling hot makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers and creatives of many other styles)?

FASHFEST has all this and more. In four huge days this 1st – 4th May 2013, FASHFEST will shine a massive spotlight on the work of more than 20 local designers, making a major statement on our world of culture and fashion. This show stopper of Canberra fashion is the first of its kind on this scale.

Also sizzling hot is ticket sales being released in a matter of hours (1st March 2013). Three tiers of single tickets will be available and packages for those who can’t resist attending all four nights. The wow-factor venue will be announced mid-month.

The face of FASHFEST is internationally renowned supermodel Anneliese Seubert who has well and truly settled into her life in Canberra. Anneliese, who has graced the covers of the world’ top fashion magazines, including Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, is volunteering for the event to give Canberra’s young talent a platform for their work.

The work of FASHFEST designers covers a broad spectrum—innovative, quirky, contemporary, futuristic and classic—reflecting Canberra as a fashion-savvy mini-metropolis. Pay attention Sydney and Melbourne.

Even couture will be on the runway. Anneliese’s sensational white number was created by Sarah Joseph Couture. Creator and Head Designer, Sarah Joseph, who lives in Canberra, heads a dynamic and progressive company that uses pristine and precise construction, based on traditional techniques of corsetry and tailoring, to create marvellous designs worthy of any red carpet.

Other designers connected to Canberra, are Dissonance, known for pushing the boundaries of fashion, Rockstars and Royalty, which designs and creates glam attire, and Edition, which explores the meaning of place and how this can be interpreted into wearable garments.
