For the second year in a row, Canberra’s Parliamentary Triangle will light up to host a variety of cultural and culinary delights. The Enlighten Night Noodle Markets are set to return for ten days Friday 4 March to celebrate the delicious diversity of Asia’s cuisines.

This year, tuck in to even more dumplings, Pad Thai and pastry as colorful lights shine and live music lingers. With a huge range of Asian eats to choose from, here are six foods you must-eat at the Enlighten Noodle Markets this year.

Fried Chicken Ramen Burger from Everybody Loves Ramen

This Japanese fusion burger from Everybody Loves Ramen is guaranteed to brighten your Enlighten experience. Boasting a colorful combo of ramen fried chicken nestled in a glazed pink bun, the treat is about as unique as it gets. If you’re still peckish afterwards, dig into some miso butter popcorn or a cup of ramen fried chicken.

Gong Xi Fai Cai Cake Smash (V) from Black Star Pastry x N2 Extreme Gelato

To celebrate the recent Lunar New Year, N2 Extreme Gelato and Black Star Pastry have teamed up to create this daring dessert. A sensational strawberry watermelon cake smashed with ‘firecrackers’ (sparked by feuillantines and raspberry coated pop rocks), strawberry coulis pipette and ‘gold coins’ minted from haw flakes, this will bring you prosperity (to your waistline, at least!).

Peking Duck Bao from Bao Stop

Peking Duck Bao showcases’s Taiwanese street food at its best. Pair the dish with Bao Stop’s Peking Duck Fries, or go for a Braised Pork Belly Bao instead. Vegetarians can also enjoy a Fried Tofu Bao… delicious!

Thai Beef Salad from Soi Noodle Bar

Soi Noodle Bar is Canberra’s newest Asian Fusion restaurant and has made a mark on the foodie scene since opening in December. If you need something to complement this delicious salad, help yourself to chicken or slow-cooked lamb buns, or even the delicious Pad See Ew Chicken.

BBQ Pork Bun or Vegetarian Dumpling (V) from Let’s do Yum Cha

Ever tasted a handmade pork bun made freshly steamed in bamboo? Now you can. For vegetarians after an equally delicious Chinese delight, try one of Let’s Do Yum Cha’s steamed Vegetarian Dumplings.

Nutella Delight Fresh Baked Waffle from Waffle on a Stick

The mouth waters at the sight of this freshly-baked waffle, complete with a drizzling of warm Nutella and icing sugar. Waffle on a Stick is the perfect sweet compliment to all of the delights on offer at the Night Noodle Markets. Add extra strawberries or ice cream to any waffle – you won’t be able to stop at one!
