EQ Café Lounge situated in the Equinox Park in Deakin encompasses everything you want in a lunch time destination- a buzzing atmosphere, friendly and speedy service and amazing food.

We were shown to our table and blissfully took in the ambience of the busy lunch spot and admired the modern décor. The smells coming from the kitchen were making my tummy grumble and made the cafe smell so warm and homely.
The dishes came quickly and were a feast for the eyes: Grilled salmon, the Chicken burger and the Warm chicken salad.

The grilled salmon was a beautiful, tender fillet of salmon with steamed bokchoy, orange segments, crispy kipfler prosciutto salad and beetroot relish. The bokchoy, orange and beetroot relish flavours all mixed in so well together, complementing the fish perfectly. The kipfler potatoes were golden and crispy underneath the fish and the prosciutto gave it a salty dressing. Being a lover of a good salmon fillet, I can tell you that this dish far exceeded my expectations. It was by far one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten.

The chicken burger was a pirri pirri marinated chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, chicken, bacon, grilled pineapple with a lime mayonnaise served with chips. The chicken breast was moist and the lime mayonnaise gave it a little kick. All in all, a very juicy and stomach-filling burger.

The warm chicken salad had grilled chicken pieces, chorizo, cherry tomatoes, fennel, rocket, roasted pumpkin, crushed walnuts, orange and maple dressing. The salad was presented magnificently. The orange and maple dressing was a glorious pink colour and the entire salad was tender with a crunch.
