Okay, so this morning we’ve told you how to get ready for a night OutInCanberra. Let us now guide you through the more delicate hours – those when you return home with a house filled with people, and the inevitable ‘morning after’.

Getting Home

As you make your way back in through the door, kick off your shoes, put on some music and get ready to look after those who split the taxi with you.

You’re going to need to cook something, so grab the KAVALKAD saucepan ($4.99) and get ready to fire up the stove. You’ll be amazed at just how creative you can be after a night out, so fry up whatever you’ve got left at the back of the fridge, heap it on to a piece of toast and voila!

You don’t want too many sore heads in the morning, so make sure everyone is nicely hydrated. Because you’re so organised, earlier today you filled three or four KORKEN water bottles ($1.69) that are now nice and cold and ready to be assigned to each of those still left sitting at your table.

Don’t let everyone hang around forever, though, tomorrow is probably going to be a big day, and you and your friends are planning for how to make the most of a day in the sun. Give everyone a hint by unfolding the FRIHETEN sofa bed ($699.00) to reveal the double mattress.

It’s first-in-best-dressed for a night at your place! For cooler nights, grab the SÖTVEDEL extra-warm quilt ($199.00) to make sure your impromptu guests are nice and snuggly. It’s the perfect way to end a big night out.

The Morning After

You peer out from underneath the covers with one barley-opened eye. The morning sun hammers your retina like you’re being attacked with an ice-pick – which might have been okay if the pain in the front of your head wasn’t so nauseating.

Welcome to the-morning-after-the-night-before. This isn’t going to be fun.

As you stumble to the living room and try to deal with the half-drunk glasses of wine and sangria that litter the dining table, head straight for the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee.

The classic, Italian-style RÅDIG espresso maker ($29.99) will fill the air with the sweet smell of a good brew, and is the first step in getting rid of the overnight guests who are still sprawled across the sofa bed.

While that’s happening, grab the frypan again, and reach into the back of the freezer where you stashed a bag of Ikea’s famous KÖTTBULLAR meatballs ($11.99/kilo). It’s a great hangover helper that will fill your belly and get everyone up and moving and out of your house… eventually.

Once that’s all done, and all guests have begrudgingly left, it’s ‘me time’ with the couch and some binge TV. Crawl underneath the soft and luxuriant EIVOR throw rug, get yourself cosy and comfortable and press ‘play’.

If nothing improves as the hours go by, then perhaps get some sugar into your system with a nice cooling iceblock made from the fun and colourful CHOSIGT set. Add whatever flavours will make you feel better: strawberry, orange lemon, (bacon?)… It’s pretty much up to you.
