Have what it takes to strut your stuff on the runway of Canberra’s largest fashion event?

FASHFEST is looking for male and female models to attend the open casting call for the annual four-day event. The casting will be held at the National Convention Centre on 1 February

FASHFEST isn’t just looking for super tall, super thin, leggy women. FASHFEST co-founder, Andrea Hutchinson—herself a former model from Switzerland—says organisers are looking for female and male models, including different nationalities and some plus-size models. The casting is sure to look like a scene from Australia’s Next Top Model.

‘It’s about the perfect fit for the fashion being produced by the designers who have been selected to launch new collections at FASHFEST 2015,’ says Andrea. ‘No experience is necessary, but the models must walk in front of a panel of experienced judges and be selected based on their overall presence and confidence levels.’

Those who get through the model call will receive training over several sessions so that they absolutely sizzle with confidence and poise on the FASHFEST runway. This is in line with one of FASHFEST’s main aims, which is to support models through quality training.

Sound like you could be the next Fashfest model?

Pre-register by emailing [email protected] and on the day—Sunday 1 February—bring one printed head shot with you for the judges. Females also need to bring a pair of heels.
