The inaugural Canberra Latin Dance Festival (CLDF) is almost here, with next Friday, 19th October marking the start of a three-day extravaganza of Latin styles and rhythms.

Featuring a series of performances and workshops led by world and national Latin dance champions, and live music from award winning musicians, the dance festival is the perfect opportunity to experience Latin expression and celebration.

Supported by the ACT Government and running from 19th-21st October at the Australian National University (ANU) Sports & Recreation facility, the CLDF includes two days of workshops by local and national dance professionals as well as three nights of performances by world champions, international Latin dancers and musicians, and the best of local talent.

Among the headlining performers are:
• Leading international salsa experts Neeraj Maskara (India) and Ismael Otero (USA/Puerto Rico)
• Multiple World Salsa Champions Oliver Pineda (Chile) & Vali Damaskou (Greece)
• 2012 World Bachata Champions Nestor Manuelian (Uruguay) & Katrina Quintal (Portugal)
• Renowned Lambada dancer and signer Kadu Pires (Brazil)
• 2011 Australian National Latin band champions Mi Tierra (Australia)
• And world famous Latin DJ and performer Allan Dantas (Brazil)
