They say winemaking is the most sensual way to understand a piece of land, so why not come see for yourself …join the celebration of the wine harvest in and around the famed Canberra Wine District this April at the annual ‘Wine Harvest Festival’.

On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April, the District will showcase its ‘Liquid Geography’ during a wonderful autumn weekend full of cool climate wine, feasting temptations and live entertainment set in Canberra’s picturesque vineyards. Over 20 local wineries are offering a variety of tasting adventures and the opportunity for a great day (or days) out in the country!

Meet some of the makers of the Canberra District’s nationally and internationally recognised wines at their own cellar door as they share the fruits of harvest, enjoy guided tours, and taste the latest wines from a region renowned for its diversity of geography and variety.

Participating Canberra wineries and producers include Affleck Vineyard, Barton Estate, Brindabella Hills Winery, Capital Wines, Dionysus Winery, Four Winds Vineyard, Gallagher Wines, Granitevale Estate, Gundog Estate, Jeir Creek Wines, Lerida Estate, Little Bridge Wines, McKellar Ridge Wines, Mount Majura Vineyard, Murrumbateman Winery, Pankhurst Wines, Poacher’s Pantry, Shaw Vineyard Estate & Flint in the Vines, Surveyor’s Hill & Pomegranate Bistro, Tallagandra Hill and Yarrh Wines.

If you wanna stay a little closer to home, a ‘Sneak Peak’ of the Festival highlights and their makers will be heading to NewActon’s A.Baker on Thursday 3 April from 5:30-7.00pm. Winemakers will each select a couple of their top tipples for you to taste in one of Canberra’s newest hot spots. A.Baker’s underground bar is the perfect setting to enjoy the finest wines matched with local produce and charcuterie. Get in quick tickets are strictly limited and only available online!
