Canberra turns 100 years old in 2013 and a year-long program packed with events, activities and initiatives have been planned to mark the occasion.

On Tuesday 4th September at 6pm, you are invited to hear first hand from Creative Director Robyn Archer AO, what will be in store for Canberra’s 2013 Centenary celebrations.

Robyn Archer will take the audience through the year’s program mixed with appearances from special guests, music, dance and audio-visual illustration of the program.

Executive Director of the Centenary of Canberra unit, Jeremy Lasek said the centenary was an incredible opportunity to showcase Canberra to the nation and the world.

“As a proud Canberran, I can’t wait for 2013 to arrive and to share in what is shaping as an amazing year for our community,” Mr Lasek said.

“I’m also aware thousands of locals are busily preparing to be involved directly in the centenary; through sport, arts and culture, science and the myriad of events and exhibitions to be delivered next year.”

The special preview is taking place at the Canberra Theatre Centre’s Playhouse and tickets for the Centenary of Canberra program preview are available now and are free, but numbers are limited.
