Experience the exhilaration, excitement, anticipation and pursuit of the rush at the National Museum of Australia in the next Night at the Museum.

This popular event series explores the themes in Museum’s collections, in an evening full of entertainment, games, food, music and more!

Night at the Museum: Thrill will have you asking yourself – What gives you a thrill? Are you an experience-seeking person who craves new and exciting things? Do you like taking risks and heading off into the unknown or unchartered territories?

Explore your thrill-seeking senses through entertainment including breath-taking displays from fire and glow circus performers from The Fool Factory, swordplay demonstrations from the ANU Fencing Club, and some unbelievable one-wheeled tricks from the ACT Unicycle Riders Society.

For the braver souls in the crowd, test your balance in a Bucking Bull Competition or handle one of the scaly critters from Reptile’s Inc. and Canberra Reptile Zoo. To get your pulses truly racing, dancers from Breathe Dance Studio will show you some Samba moves to try or you can freestyle with some of your own to the tunes of DJ Degg, back by popular demand.

Tantalise your tastebuds with a variety of food and drink available for purchase on the night or get in early and buy a thrilling tasting plate designed by Broadbean Catering.

Take the plunge and play The Museum Game. Make a team of up to four players and, armed with an iPad, explore the galleries to make connections between the objects on display. Take a leaf from the stories of risk-takers and people who have tried and done new things, made unexpected connections and achieved the extraordinary. That is how you will win!
