Were you there last year… the year it all began?

Thoroughbred Park became a beer-lover’s delight in November last year, as the inaugural Beer Day Out brought the best of Australian and international brewing trackside for a day of tasting, testing and toasting.

The good news is that this festival of foam is back again on Saturday 8 November from 12.00pm. This year, head on over south of the lake to The Former Kingston Transport Depot, just near the markets on Wentworth Avenue. Building on the success of last year, Beer Day Out is putting on an even bigger and better show this time around.

There will showcase 25 Australian and international craft breweries, with more international beers and more cider than was there in 2013. There will be plenty on offer, with Zierholz and Bent Spoke Brewing representing the Canberra scene, while Troubadour (The Netherlands) and Erdinger (Germany) bring the best of Europe to our doorstep. We’d raise a glass to that!

If it all gets a bit hot for you, why not try a refreshing ice cream? Frugii will be at Beer Day Out with a range of beer and cider-flavoured ice cream that will definitely get tongues wagging.

Grab your tickets now and you could be in the running to win flights, accommodation and a couple of brewery tours in Victoria. You’ll get the chance to meet the guys from 2 Brothers (Melbourne) and Grand Ridge (Gippsland). To be in the draw, be sure to book your tickets via Moshtix (click here) by this Friday 31 October.

Beer Day Out is another great event to ring in the arrival of Summer. We can’t wait to head down and taste the very best of the latest in beer and cider trends with the rest of those Canberran believers in the brew!
