OutInCanberra favourites Atlantis Awaits certainly aren’t keeping quiet these days. Fresh off the plane following a promotional trip to Indonesia (which included a lot of foraging for contraband beer), the quintet are pretty excited to unleash their latest clip on the world.

The video for Hourglass was filmed at Canberra’s biggest fashion event, FashFest in May and features the band performing as well as behind the scenes action and shots from the runway.

On top of that, this Saturday night will be a huge event in the local music scene, with Atlantis Awaits supporting their mates and the hugely successful Hands Like Houses – who have just dropped their highly anticipated Reimagine EP. In what is set to be an unforgettable night; be sure to catch them this Saturday 27 September at ANU Bar from 8.00pm. Tickets will be available at the door or for online ticket purchases click here.

Atlantis Awaits are an eclectic crew with a ‘Beauty and the Beast’ dynamic. On one side you’ve got four lads from Canberra, best mates throughout high school (Daramalan College) whose musical influences range from Deftones to Parkway Drive. On the other side, you’ve got the blonde-bombshell Tegan; an R&B singer who grew up on Cronulla Beach, three hours away. An unlikely bunch, admittedly.

Since forming in 2011, the Aussie rockers have managed to win over the Australian public, with the last 12 months comprising of the independent release of their debut album Dying to Live (recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy-nominated producer Brandon Friesen), a spot on the Australian Warped Tour, an Australian tour supporting Hands Like Houses to sold-out venues, an East Coast Australian tour with Closure in Moscow and, as mentioned, a three-week headline tour of Indonesia.
