All dogs go to Utopia

by OutInCanberra 18 July 2012

Support Canberra Mob Indigenous Dog Health by attending the Utopia Cocktail Party at Siren Bar & Restaurant

Canberra Mob Indigenous Dog health is a group of veterinarians, veterinary nurses and like-minded supporters who provide a dog health program to indigenous communities in the Utopia region in the Northern Territory. The program is run in conjunction with AMRRIC (Animal Management in Remote and Rural Indigenous Communities) who have supported similar programs in other indigenous areas that have proved very successful.

Canberra Mob Indigenous Dog Health visit the region twice a year and provide desexing clinics, control of parasites and education for the children and adults on animal health and management. In doing so, they improve the general wellbeing and health of the local community, for instance reducing the transmission of parasites between people and animals and reducing the incidence of dog aggression and bite wounds.

Support this great cause by joining them at Siren Bar & Restaurant in Gungahlin on Saturday 28th July for an evening of yummy tapas and drinks, a silent auction, lucky dip and door prizes. All funds raised on the night will support the animal health project in Utopia, NT.

The event runs from 7-10pm and tickets are $70 each. For more information or to purchase tickets, phone the Kippax Vet Hopsital on 6255 1242 or email louisen@kippaxvet.com.au
