Howdy, folks! Here we are, heading into the second weekend of May. The weather doesn’t look like the best, but that doesn’t mean we’re pulling down the shutters and hiding away.

Hell, no! There’s a lot to see and do this weekend. Here are our picks for fun days off.

Enjoy!

1. Le Noir at Canberra Theatre Centre
Friday and Saturday Night

The circus comes to town in the darkest way possible as some of the world’s best acrobats head to Canberra Theatre this weekend – many of which have performed for the legendary Cirque du Soleil.

It will be a stunning show, and tickets have been running hot all week. Check out the link below to get yourself a seat for an experience you won’t forget.

2. Fash ‘n’ Treasure at Exhibition Park
Saturday from 10.00am

Winter isn’t coming… it’s here! It’s time to arm yourselves with jackets coats and gloves, and there’s nothing like the feeling of vintage to keep you warm this season.

More than that, though, there will be plenty of local designers selling their wares, so get out there and support talented Canberrans.

3. Raiders v Titans at GIO Canberra Stadium
Saturday from 3.00pm

Somehow, the rules of the universe have been turned upside down and the Raiders are on a roll. They’ve won half their games, and staged some amazing comebacks against quality sides.

This week they face the Gold Coast Titans who, without Craig Wing for the next eight weeks, are looking very vulnerable. A win by the Green Machine could easily propel Canberra into the Top Eight

4. Mothers’ Day all across Canberra
From very early on Sunday!

She’s the one person who will put up with you no matter how horrible or disgusting you might be throughout your life. Mum loves you regardless. Be sure to show her how much she means to you by taking her out to lunch this Sunday.

We’ve collected a list of some of Canberra’s best Mother’s Day offering so, if you mess it up from here, you’ve only got yourself to blame.

Working with two of NewActon’s best venues, we’ve organised dinner at Bicicletta along with tickets to Pitch Perfect 2 next Tuesday night. A bargain at $65.00 per couple, it’s the night out that will love you back!
