Last year, Jessica Read had an idea: to run a little expo for all of Canberra’s dedicated fitness fans where they could find the latest information of making your body the best it can be.

Unsurprisingly, the 2013 Get Active Expo was a resounding success. So, with all the energy you would expect from a team that believes in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, Jessica and the rest of Dynamic Events Canberra are back on Saturday 15 November 2014 with an even bigger and better installment of what looks to be a permanent feature on the local calendar.

The scope is pretty impressive, with a wide range of activities covering everything from the latest fitness fashions through to what to eat (and how to cook it) as well as competitions testing strength and fitness.

Thanks to event sponsor Fitsistas, one of the highlights of this year’s Get Active Expo will be the appearance of Michelle Bridges. Since first appearing on The Biggest Loser in 2007, Michelle has gone on to revolutionise the way Australians look at exercise and nutrition through the Michelle Bridge 12 Week Body Transformation.

Michelle will be hosting a seminar at the expo, which is designed to be highly informative and inspirational whether you are male or female, young or old. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Michelle after the talk, and everyone who buys a ticket will go in the draw to win $500 to spend at any of the stalls within the Get Active Expo.

Tickets to Michelle Bridges’ seminar are $70.00 and can be purchased here.

For those who love getting busy in the kitchen, nutritionist Kate Freeman will also be in attendance to spread the word of healthy eating. Kate has had great success in Canberra with her business The Healthy Eating Hub, and it will be fantastic to hear what advice she has to offer attendees on the day.

There will also be plenty there to entertain kids, especially with Les Mills’ ‘Born to Move’ classes, BMX riding, tips on how to pack a healthy lunchbox and even a cooking class for the kids.

Sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, there is so much more on offer for the day. Go to www.getactiveexpo.com for all the details, and get ready to Get Active at the 2014 expo.
