Canberra Vikings V Perth Spirit

The Canberra Vikings are playing Perth Spirit for a spot in the National Rugby Championship Grand Final this Saturday night with kick off at 7pm, Viking Park, 4 Amsnick Street, Wanniassa. This Semi Final includes a big line up of activities. Gates open at 4.15pm, Vikings Group members get FREE entry, children under 18 also get free entry, for everyone else tickets are only $12 and all kids who enter before 5pm will receive a Canberra Vikings pack! A DJ from gates open will be on site as well as a free jumping castle and face painting!

The Three Sixty Fashion Market is on again this Sunday! Held at the Fitters Workshop in Kingston, this is the place where old meets new. This market will feature cutting-edge couture and vintage pieces of all sorts. There’s always something for everyone. Stores will be selling designer brand and high street denims and others, high quality vintage items that you can’t find anywhere else. See some local craft, jewellery and other marvelous creations from up-and-coming artists.

Farm Gate Markets at Pialligo Estate

At Pialligo Estate this Sunday there will be market stalls and activities that will be fun for all ages! The stallholders will showcase gourmet foods, wines and spirits! Design Canberra: Lucy Irvine Artist Talk: Surface Strategies

The Design Files Editor will present an in-depth demonstration that will cover global design and colour trends and how these translate into Australian interior design. Icon Water Run for your Lifeline

For the fourth year running, the Icon Water Run for your Lifeline will be held this weekend around Lake Burley Griffin. The run starts and ends and Patrick White Lawns near the National Library. This year the run will cater to all fitness and running levels from pros to the fun run lovers of all ages. There is a 5km, 10km, half marathon and full marathon runs on offer!

The Makers and Shakers Market

This indoor, curated retail market will bring people together who care about where things came from, how things are made and made of. With 50 makers from the ACT and interstate showing their items at Albert Hall will make the homewares, foods, and lifestyle products come to life. Go along and pick yourself up some treasures on the way as well as coffee, donuts, cookies, cannoli, and empanadas!

Day of the Dead Fiesta

This Saturday experience the atmosphere of the Latin American Fiesta that is the Day of the Dead festival. This celebration of culture, music, dance and art will bring this tradition to life in Canberra. Held at the Ainslie Arts Centre and later at the Harmonie German Club, the line up for local musicians and bands, dance performances, art and cultural exhibitions, market and food stalls, piñata, and face paining is extensive!
